    Day 02: Patna – Vaishali - Rajgir.

In Vaishali – the 1st stop in the Buddhist circuit - you will visit  the Ashok and Lion Pillars (National Emblems of India) as well as the ancient remains of the Vishwa Shanti Stupa and Buddha Stupa ( shrine). After lunch you will head south towards Rajgir and check in to The Hotel Indo Hokke.

This day will begin with a ‘ropeway’ ride to the beautiful Buddhist Shanti Stupa, which commands a wonderful view of the valley from its hilltop vantage point. Your guide will then take you on a historical exploration of Nalanda University - the oldest known university in the world and once a hub of Buddhist education. Towards the end of the day you may consider visiting Jal Mandir, the sacred temple of the Jain Lord Mahavira, and enjoy a sacred bath in the hot springs of Rajgir.

Day 04: Rajgir - Baradar Caves - Thaterkatti Stone Sculptures – Bodh Gaya

Your road trip continues today towards Bodh Gaya. On route, the first stop will give you the chance to explore the artistry engraved in the ancient caves of Baradar, which depicts the rich and vast culture of ancient Buddhism. Further along the road, you will stop in Thatherkatti and learn about the art of stone sculpting. From Thatherkatti it is only a short drive to your final stop in Bodhgaya, which is known as the place where Buddha attained enlightenment and Buddhism was born. You will stay in the Hotel Royal Residency.
